We had a great experience! From booking everything to the actual wedding day. All of our questions were always answered quickly. We always felt like our wedding and happiness was a priority. Our Love Story
Michael proposed to me at my favorite place on my 27th birthday – Disney! I had no idea it was coming and was completely surprised. He gave the ring to my mom to hide in her purse. He reached into her purse to grab it when we were taking a family photo in front of the castle together. We took our own photo together next. Next thing you know, he was down on one knee! It was so beautiful and absolutely perfect. I loved that he incorporated my parents and my favorite place into such a special moment.
Our Wedding Vision
We wanted our wedding to be simple, but elegant. We also loved the rustic feel, which is why we incorporated the look of mason jars, burlap, and sunflowers! Sunflowers are my favorite flowers. What was important to us was having our family and friends included and that everyone felt the love that night!
We did have to change our plans. We had to change our original wedding date from October 2020 to April 2021 due to the pandemic. We also had to change our venue. It was not what we planned, but our day turned out just as beautiful as ever and I wouldn’t change it for anything!
Our Wedding Photography
Our photographer, Vesna, was THE BEST! She did our engagement photos and our wedding photos. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease with it. Our photos are absolutely beautiful. We still get compliments to this day about how beautiful the photos are. We never once had to worry about how the photos would turn out. Our wedding photos are extremely important to us, probably one of the most important aspects of our wedding. They help show the memories of the best night of our lives!
Our Wedding Videography
The wedding video was another important aspect of our wedding. We are able to look back at our vows and everyone’s faces and reactions on our day. It shows the emotions we all felt and the happiness of that day. I love being able to look back at the entire day and relive it from morning to night!
Due to the pandemic, we unfortunately were unable to invite everyone we originally had intended on inviting. We had to have a smaller gathering. Having our photos and video allowed everyone to feel like they were there and share in the memories.
Our Wedding DJ
Our DJ was amazing! He played so many great songs for our reception. Everyone remarked at how fun it was and how many great songs there were to dance to. He also did an amazing job with our ceremony songs and helped create the exact feelings I wanted while waking down the aisle.
We did share a first dance! We danced to This Is It by Scotty McCreery. We are both nurses and did a travel nursing assignment to Palm Springs, California while we were dating. That song came out when we were there and kind of became “our song.” It became the song we always listened to. The lyrics fit perfectly with our relationship and our memories we have together. While planning our wedding, we knew right away that would be our song without a doubt!
Our Wedding Memories
A favorite moment was definitely our first look. It was such a special moment to be able to spend together just us two. Our first dance was also another favorite moment. It felt like we were the only ones in the room, dancing to our song that describes our love and our relationship perfectly.
