On August 15, 2025, Jodi and Michael celebrated their Solitude Links Golf Course Wedding. From their Michigan Tech love story to their intimate first look, every moment reflected who they are as a couple. A Michigan Tech Love Story

Jodi and Michael’s journey began at Michigan Tech in Houghton, MI, where they met through the MTU 4×4 club. What started in February 2018 grew into a beautiful relationship that would last over six years before Michael popped the question.

In June 2024, Michael planned the perfect proposal on a cliff overlook in the stunning Keweenaw Peninsula. Just the two of them on a side-by-side ride, surrounded by the natural beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula—it was the perfect reflection of their adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.

When it came to planning their wedding, Jodi and Michael had a clear vision: their day should reflect them, their favorite people, and their favorite things. A Favorite Moment: The First Look

One of the most special moments of their day? Their first look with private vows before the ceremony.

“Our first look – best decision ever. We did our first look and private vows before the ceremony. It was such a special moment to share with just us and get the nerves out before the ceremony.” – Jodi 

This intimate moment allowed them to connect privately, exchange personal vows, and calm their nerves before walking down the aisle. It’s a decision they’ll treasure forever—having that quiet time together before the celebration began.

Their First Dance: A Classic Country Love Song

Jodi and Michael shared their first dance as husband and wife to “Keeper of the Stars” by Tracy Byrd. As lovers of classic country music, the song choice felt absolutely right for them.

“We both LOVE classic country and it just felt right for us. We believe God paired us together and this song reflects that.” – Jodi

“When we first met with Greg we shared that we wanted a lot of direction and he didn’t disappoint. We LOVE our photos and would do it all over again with Greg.”

Greg’s ability to guide them through poses while capturing authentic moments resulted in wedding photos they absolutely love. Looking back, they wouldn’t change a thing about their photography experience.

Jodi and Michael initially went back and forth on whether to invest in wedding videography.
