The Meadow Wood Acres Wedding of Gabrielle & Preston

The Meadow Wood Acres Wedding of Gabrielle & Preston: August 30, 2025

“Overall, we had an amazing experience with Mike Staff Productions. Everybody made the day go so smooth, and I couldn’t recommend you guys enough! Thank you!” – Happy bride, Gabby

Our Love Story

Preston proposed at sunset on our favorite beach (Siesta Key) in Florida, where we now reside. We started dating when we were 15 & 16 years old, and we have just been conquering life together ever since. Our daughter Blakely is our pride and joy, and we are truly each other’s best friends.

Our Wedding Vision

We are two pretty laid-back people, and we wanted our wedding to reflect that. We wanted something elegant yet simple. We wanted everybody who attended to find a piece of the wedding that they loved. We loved the idea of fun, casual lawn games for everybody to keep busy with while also keeping it classy & breathtaking.

Our Favorite Wedding Moments

One of our favorite moments was the last dance, where we had all of our friends and family surrounding us as we danced to a song that we used to call “our song” in high school. Our second favorite moment was just being able to share this special day with our daughter, Blakely. She joined in some of the special dances and just brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Wedding DJ Experience

Our first dance was to Still Falling by Hunter Hayes because it really drove in the idea that even though we have already done so much, and spent nearly a decade together, we still find ways every single day to fall more in love with one another. Our wedding DJ, Derek, was awesome; he kept the crowd dancing all night long. We had a good mixture of ages at the wedding, and he was very well-rounded in the music he played, and when to play upbeat vs slow songs.

Wedding Photography Experience

Pam, our wedding photographer, was phenomenal. She went above and beyond. I told Pam in an earlier meeting that I didn’t want to feel like I was being pulled away from my big day to take pictures. I know having pictures to look back on is very important, but I really didn’t want to spend the whole day smiling for a camera instead of being present in the moment. She did an amazing job capturing the most beautiful candids and keeping things at such a good pace. I never once felt like I was being pulled away, and the photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined.

Wedding Videography Experience

Getting a wedding video was super important to us because we wanted to have something more than just pictures to show our children when they grow up. I remember looking at my parents’ wedding pictures and loving them, but watching the videos they took on their home camera really made me feel like I was right there with them, and I wanted that as well. I love how it captured the entire day, but in a small mini movie.

Our Wedding Planning Advice

There are going to be lots of decisions to make, along with lots of opinions. Focus on what aspects are super important to you and your fiancé, and stand your ground. For the things that you may not care about as much, accept help and opinions! A good balance when it comes to wedding planning will save you so much stress!
