Happy Couple, Kelsey and Dalton

Our Love Story

The proposal told by Dalton:
Ever since nursing school, I always told Kelsey that we will get married after school. October 2017 was the time to finally pick out the ring. We went to Coughlin’s Jewelers and decided to look around. Kelsey’s eye managed to find the shiniest ring in the place.

Fast forward to our third trip to Vegas, July 26, 2018. This was the vacation. The vacation that would set up the rest of our lives. Kelsey wanted to take a tour of Vegas and the Grand Canyon with a helicopter since our first trip to Vegas. July 27, 2018 I decided to book Sundance helicopter to take us around the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon, and the Las Vegas strip. The helicopter landed in the Grand Canyon just above the Colorado River. After building up some courage and trying to relax my nerves, I asked the woman of my dreams to marry me. Fortunately, she said yes! Kelsey, being very family oriented, wanted to call her mom and brother right away, but with my quick wit, I said: “why don’t we wait to get back to the room”. We got up to the room and opened the door and SURPRISE my mom, dad and Kelsey’s mom surprised her with showing up to Vegas. It was a wonderful vacation with even better memories made.

Our Wedding Day Helicopter Ride

One of my dad’s assignments on the Detroit Police Department was a helicopter pilot at the Aviation Section. Growing up, I always joked with him and said that I wanted him to fly my husband and I away after our wedding. Unfortunately my dad wasn’t able to be there because he dad passed away 3 1/2 years ago; however, my mom arranged the ultimate tribute to include my dad in our special day! Ironically, the helicopter flew in as we started saying our vows.

Our Wedding Photos

The wedding photographer was hands down amazing. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and he loves every second of it. Whether it was keeping the kids in line, to letting us get pictures with our dogs, and even getting shots from inside the helicopter; he was truly talented. He was up for anything and everything. Our wedding photos mean everything to us. As many people know, the wedding day flies by and often you can not even remember who was there and what happened that night. Mark did an amazing job at capturing every moment of this beautiful night.

Our Wedding Video

Seeing everyone dancing, laughing, and partying really made us happy. Our wedding videographer captured all of the details from A to Z. We will have this video forever and will be able to relive this incredible day every time we watch it.

Our Wedding DJ

The charisma alone from our wedding DJ and the atmosphere he created was enough to get everyone up partying and dancing all night. We chose “Blessed” by Thomas Rhett as our first dance. With many months of going back and forth between several different songs, we heard this one on the radio one night and it just felt right. This song described our love for one another perfectly.
