The Saint John’s Resort Wedding of Courtney & Michael
The Saint John’s Resort Wedding of Courtney & Michael: September 13, 2024
“We couldn’t be more thrilled with our decision to go with Mike Staff Productions for our wedding! From the start, the bundle package was hands-down the best choice we made. We were lucky to have the absolute DREAM TEAM, and they made our day unforgettable.
Greg and Savanna, our photographers, were simply amazing. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we had an absolute blast with them. The photos captured our day perfectly, with a blend of candid moments and stunning portraits.
David, our videographer, was equally fantastic. His energy and sense of humor had us laughing and truly living in the moment.
And then there was James, our DJ, who kept the party going from start to finish. He had the dance floor packed all night, catering to every guest and creating the perfect vibe.
Mike Staff Productions truly values their couples, and you can tell they love what they do. They treated us like more than just clients, and their passion for their work really shines through. If you’re looking for the perfect team to capture your big day, we highly recommend Mike Staff Productions!” – Happy bride, Courtney
Our Proposal Story
Michael proposed to be at my favorite winery in Traverse City. We went on a weekend trip with siblings and he hired a surprise photographer to catch the whole thing! An emotional and very special moment!
Our story began at Gabriel Richard Catholic High School. Funny thing is though, we never really spoke back then! I was a senior and Michael was a shy freshman. Life went on, and we went our separate ways after graduation.
Fast forward 11 years, and cue the magic of social media – Facebook Messenger. One day, a new message pops up. Guess who it is? Yep, it’s Michael. It felt like the universe was giving us a nudge. We started chatting, and it was like catching up on a story that had paused for a decade. Conversations flowed effortlessly, and before we knew it, we fell for each other – hard. It was almost like, “Where have you been all this time?”
Eight months into reconnecting, and here we are – engaged! I guess when they say, “When you know, you know,” it’s the real deal. Our story is proof that sometimes life has its own timing, and things fall into place when they’re meant to.
So, here’s to the unexpected turns, the reconnections, and the beautiful journey we’re about to embark on together. Because when destiny decides to play matchmaker, it does so in the most surprising and heartwarming ways. Cheers to love and the serendipity that brought us back together!
Wedding DJ Experience
Our wedding DJ, James, kept the party going all night. The dancefloor was always packed full of people. Typically at weddings, you see the crowd die down towards the end of the night and in our case, everyone stayed until the night was closed down! Truly such an amazing experience with our DJ.
Our first dance was to Perfect Symphony by Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli. We chose that song because the lyrics encapsulated our relationship as well as having Michael’s Italian heritage involved.
Wedding Photography Experience
Our wedding photos are very important to us. Being able to look back at an image and feel the same feelings you felt in that moment. Greg and Savanna were our wedding photographers. They truly were so amazing to work with. They made us feel so comfortable and natural during the entire day. We laughed, we joked and overall had an amazing time. Our photos turned out perfect. It’s truly remarkable the outcome of their work.
Wedding Videography Experience
Getting the wedding video was important to us because similar to photography you get to experience the day all over again. But with video, you get to see the raw emotion and you get to see our love from an outside angle. David was our wedding videographer and he was so much fun to work with!
Favorite Wedding Day Moments
Michael: My favorite memories of the day were watching Courtney walk down the aisle and jamming out to Welcome To The Black Parade as our closing song at the reception.
Courtney: My absolute favorite memory from our wedding day was seeing Michael for the very first time walking down the aisle. We decided to not talk to each other the night before and the day off until we were together. Which was nerve-wracking but so worth it. I felt like it made it more special once we saw each other. My other favorite memory was celebrating at the reception in a room full of family and friends just so happy to be a part of our special day.
