Our Love Story
Matt proposed to me at Observation Point in Zion National Park – it took him several tries though because first I was hangry… and then I was socializing with other hikers we befriended. Very typical of our relationship!
We had met 8 years prior to that on freshmen move-in day at the University of Michigan. Within one week we were dating, and the rest is history!
Our Wedding Vision
We envisioned our wedding style to be laidback, classic, and rustic – and we got just that! Our top priority was making sure the guests had the time of their lives!
Our Wedding DJ
What song DIDN’T he play that had everyone on the dance floor?! Our wedding DJ, Kyle, was incredible! I cannot rave enough about him – and neither can my guests. Seriously… they’re STILL talking about how great the music and dancing was! Kyle delivered exactly what we wanted and so much more. We let him take the lead on choosing songs and reading the crowd – and the dance floor was never empty. It warms my heart to look back on the photos we have of everyone smiling and breaking it down on the dance floor!
Our Wedding Photography
Shannon and Justin were amazing wedding photographers! Shannon was a dream to work with from start to finish – she photographed our engagement shoot as well as the wedding. We clicked right away because of our similar personalities – which I really needed being that I am super Type A. Needless to say, she made the planning process way less stressful. I loved the guidance and direction that Shannon and Justin were able to provide us with on the big day. They made sure that our individual, romantic, and group photos turned out amazing. It can be a bit intimidating to know how to pose while wearing wedding attire AND worrying about the wedding itself, so their expertise was much appreciated.
Our Wedding Memories
The first look was definitely a favorite moment for me. Seeing the look on Matt’s face when he turned around to look at me was everything I could have hoped for. Not to mention the first look allowed us to have some alone time before the chaos of the wedding ensued! Another favorite moment was seeing the happy tears and expressions of joy on our parents’ faces throughout that special day.
