“Overall, our Mike Staff Productions experience was excellent! Very professional, showed up on time, communicated well especially on the week of the wedding. They made the experience stress free and knew exactly what I wanted. I would recommend them to everyone who is getting married. We did the bundle package deal with photographer, videographer, and DJ. Having all three services through one company made it easy. It was one last vendor I didn’t have to think about. Our DJ was fantastic! He knew the vibe we wanted throughout the evening, had guests up on the dance floor dancing and guided the night smoothly. Thank you Mike Staff for a memorable night!”
Our Love Story
Corey and I met in High School. We started dating April 20th, 2012. We were High School Sweet Hearts and have been together for over 9 years. He proposed on February 29th, 2020, two weeks before the world shut down. My family has a condo in Ft. Myers Beach, so we were staying down there for my college spring break. We have vacationed there together the past 7 years. We were going to the beach and watch the sunset. As we were walking on the beach, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was so special because I have been coming to this beach since I was a kid and we have been coming down for 7 years together. It was something I always dreamed of.
Our Wedding Vision
When I started planning, I wanted this cinderella, magical wedding with tall flower centerpieces, big ballgown for my wedding dress, and sparkles! For my ceremony and reception space, I did not want just a normal ballroom. When I found the Roostertail, I automatically fell in love with our ceremony space. It was nothing but glass windows that over looked the Detroit River and you could see Downtown Detroit from our room as well.
Our Wedding Photography
I think Wedding photos are extremely important to everyone! It is those moments they capture that will let you re-live the day over and over again. We had great experiences with our two photographers. It was nice when we were getting ready to have two because one was with the guys and the other was with us. They were very professional. Our wedding photos were taken in Downtown Detroit and I was not familiar with any good spots for photos, they were able to give me suggestions on where to go and the places were fantastic.
Our Wedding Videography
Getting a wedding video was important to me because just like the photos, being able to watch the video and dream that day all over again is amazing. It is something that you will enjoy over and over again. Our videographer was amazing!
Our Wedding Memories
I think my favorite moment from our wedding day was our first look. I suck at keeping secrets, especially from Corey, so it was extremely hard not to tell him about my dress. I had been waiting and keeping it a secret for over a year and finally the moment came where I got to show him my wedding dress. It was such an emotional and special moment that we got to share with just the two of us.
