Our Love Story
My husband and I met MSU. We graduated undergrad together and then moved on to get our post-graduate degrees together. Throughout our entire journey we have been one another’s biggest fans and supporters.
Although being in school didn’t provide the ability to travel often, we did try to take short vacations. On one of those trips we went to St. Joseph, Michigan to visit different wineries. I knew something was up because he became very quiet and was covering one of his pockets throughout the conversation. He asked to take a walk by the vineyards pond, where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Neither of us can remember exactly what was said because we both blacked out in excitement.
Our Wedding Photos
Getting quality wedding photos was my #2 concern (first, was actually, marrying Mike) of the day. It was very important to us that all of our intimate moments from the day were captured. Working with our wedding photographer was a dream. She is a great hype person and made us feel so comfortable that our interactions as husband and wife happened organically.
Favorite Wedding Memories
Walking down the aisle as husband and wife. The first kiss as husband and wife was a surreal moment. But being announced as husband and wife and walking down that aisle hand in hand was an indescribable feeling. Our first dance was to Perfect by Ed Sheeran. We went back and forth on a lot of songs because there are so many that tell a story about various times in our relationship. Ultimately, ‘Perfect’ communicated exactly what we were feeling.
Our Wedding Vision
Timeless. I wanted to look back on everything (the venue, the dress, decor, etc.) and still be in love with what we selected.
