This is a delicate situation. While we can’t remove someone from the photo later, we can photograph one including family only and a second image with everyone’s significant other. We highly recommend that you communicate your wishes to your family prior to your wedding day.Watch Video
This depends on how many guests you have in attendance, but it could average 30 – 40 minutes.Watch Video
It is customary to invite your photographer to dinner. After a busy day of shooting, they will truly appreciate having dinner. If you have a “vendor table”, it is common to seat your DJ, Photographer and Videographer at the same table. It’s a good idea for your service providers to be close and available in the event that they are needed to shoot a spontaneous event.Watch Video
Our #1 goal is to make you happy and to exceed your expectations. We’ve learned an important step in the process is to help you understand what is realistic and achievable for your specific wedding. Keep in mind, that some of the most re-pinned wedding shots on Pinterest were captured in a controlled setting, with professional models with the SOLE purpose of the entire day to getting those specific shots. The purpose of your wedding day is much different. Some of the most common roadblocks to re-creating a specific Pinterest shot are this: weather, access to some locations, lighting, time constraints and other environmental limitations.
Please be aware of how neither you, nor your Photographer has ANY control over these factors.Pinterest is an excellent resource to share your style, preferences, poses, cool ideas and more with your photographer. While trying to recreate some of your favorite Pinterest shots can be fun, we suggest you tell your photographer what it is you like so much about the specific shots. This way, unexpected challenges can allow you to create something you like even better. Setting realistic expectations with your photographer prior to your wedding day will help you rest assured that you’ll get beautiful wedding photography.
Capturing family photos is an important part of the day. Making a list of family photos and prioritizing it is a great way to make sure you get all the shots that are important to you. Talk with your parents and each other about who you want photographed. Also, please discuss with your photographer any unique family dynamics that they should be aware of.Watch Video

By keeping your wedding photographer in the room with you, they are present should a great photo opportunity come up such as an impromptu toast, a candid group gathering or other events. Stylized wedding photography blends the storytelling elements of photojournalism with elements of traditional photography. Images often have an artistic nature, using blurred backgrounds, different levels of focus and a variety of angles. The stylized shooter will create the environment for your natural emotion and personalities to be reflected and provide coaching to look your best without creating over-posed photographs.
For special moments like your ceremony, special dances and toasts, the photographer will take a more photojournalistic approach and allow the events to unfold, while capturing them with an artistic eye.
Your wedding photographer will follow your limo between locations.Watch Video
If your wedding photography package includes two photographers, you can choose to have your second shooter capture room details and the guests at your cocktail hour instead of attending your romantics session.
While it’s not always easy to do, if your wedding photography package includes one photographer, you will need to try to include time in your wedding day photography plan and timeline to make room to capture some of these images.
Our past clients rave about how easy and thorough our process is, so an in-person meeting is not necessary. Proper communication is essential to understanding your needs and expectations. Our photographers are highly skilled at asking questions in order to fully understand your wishes and exceed your expectation.

Then, your photographer will check in with you again on the Tuesday before your wedding to go over any final details.

The photographer can then capture the bride’s details and candids of the preparation before moving on to the planned poses and images of the bride and her attendants and family. And then the rest of the wedding day ….Watch Video
More couples are choosing to meet in private before the wedding ceremony, allowing for some beautiful and intimate photographs and videography to be captured. It can be a private event for the couple or shared with close friends and family. This time is a low-pressure, yet highly emotional, way to spend a few special moments as a couple before walking down the aisle. If your wedding day timeline is tight after the ceremony, a first look session can allow you to create amazing images, without sacrificing time with your guests.
A first look session can take place at the location of your choice, allowing the photographer and videographer to position themselves to get the best images of this moment. Your photographer and videographer can create the environment for this special moment and then allow it to unfold naturally. This gives you the private time to exchange looks and words without interference and direction. After you have a few private moments, you can capture additional images for your wedding album and video.

Speaking to your parents about the importance of having both in photos in advance of your wedding day gets everyone on the same page. While you might like to have the extra images from your friend, it can also be distracting during the formal wedding photos and romantics if there is more than one person providing direction. Most couples have never spent a day being professionally photographed so it’s natural to be a little apprehensive about this. Your wedding photographer will have creative ideas and can draw upon their experience to help pose and guide you for your wedding photos. But it’s also important that you share how you are feeling. Do you need more or less direction? Does something feel uncomfortable? Do you have a great idea you were hoping to try? Sharing this information with your photographer helps to create wedding photos you’ll love. Don’t be shy – this is your wedding day! It is no longer in vogue to do table shots at a wedding reception. Most tables have drinks, food and large centerpieces that tend to clutter the photo. Also, it is very common for all of the guests to not be present at the table prior to dinner. Couples that want to get additional shots of their guests normally will hire a PhotoBooth.Watch Video
Album Design FAQ's
Telling your wedding story is a collaborative process between you and your personal graphic designer. Your designer has created this first draft of your wedding album based upon your answers to the short design survey you completed before your wedding.
Because we are telling your wedding story, we want your input in the album design. You may choose to add or remove images, change the layout, request image enhancements and more. Your designer will work closely with you to create the album of your dreams.
Your wedding album can be accessed in the link sent to you by your graphic designer.
To navigate through your wedding album presentation, simply click the arrows in the toolbar at the bottom of your screen.
The first image that you see will be a suggested cover for your wedding album. For covers that include leathers, the second set of images will include your graphic designers suggestion of color palette, leathers and fabrics that will compliment your wedding images.
It is important to note that the first side of the interior of your wedding album will be a blank page that is not counted in the sides included with your wedding package. This blank page is required for the structural integrity of your wedding album.
Throughout your wedding album, your graphic designer will leave notes in the upper right corner of your wedding album to help you reference sides in your communication as you design your wedding album.
While reviewing your initial presentation, you may have ideas for changes. Wherever you see something you’d like to change, click right on the page, on top of the place you want to make changes. A comment box will appear for you to give us your input. Once you have added your note, click the check box beneath your comment. To view your added comments, you can click on the number that has been placed on the image or page. Changed your mind? No problem, simply click the trash can to remove the comment.
Some changes that you might consider include swapping with a different image, adding effects like black and white or color washes, rearranging album sides, changing the background, deleting sides, or anything you’d like.
To swap an image with a different one, please reference the image number that you would like as the replacement. You can find the image numbers beneath the photo in your online gallery. It is important to note that replacing a horizontal with vertical, or vertical with horizontal, will require additional changes to the side you are editing.
Our wedding albums feature lay flat slides. This means that an image that crosses the crease will still be seen in its entirety without image disappearing into the crease.
The final side in your album is also required to be left blank. Again, this provides stability to your wedding album.
Your graphic designer may present additional sides to your wedding album to show you options for the design. You are under no obligation to purchase these additional sides. You may choose to combine, remove or purchase additional sides as presented.
When you have completed your comments, please click submit comments in the lower right toolbar to submit requests to your graphic designer. Once we have received your comments, we will be in touch with any questions we may have and to let you know when your next version will be available to view.
Once you are satisfied with the design of your wedding album, you can select approve album in the lower right toolbar. This will let your graphic designer know you are ready to print your wedding album. Prior to sending your album to the printer, your graphic designer will retouch the final images and send it to your for one last look and final approval.
Our graphic design team is here to help you with your wedding album process. If you need assistance at anytime, please let us know. You can reach our team by emailing your graphic designer or calling 248-434-5575.Watch Video

During the design process, your graphic designer will create spreads to tell your wedding story. As each side relates to it’s opposing side, it is recommended that you remove the entire spread or it will disrupt the sequence of your design. Removing one page will cause similar elements to be separated. If you dislike one particular page, you should remove the entire spread or create a new page so the remaining sequence can be maintained.Watch Video

Yes, we can include images you send us to include in your wedding album design. There are just a few limitations:
For copyright reasons, you must have permission from the image’s creator to use the image. Images must meet the album manufacturer’s standards for image resolution so that they print correctly. This will vary depending on how large you want the image to be the album. We do not retouch or provide any Photoshop work to these images. We recommend sending us the largest resolution file(s) you have access to as well as how large in the design you’d like it to be. We can let you know if that meets the manufacturer’s standards.
Images are mailed once the final album design is approved for the printer. This is so all the images that are enhanced or retouched for the album, can be included for you. If you need images for thank you cards, please just let us know the image number and we can send the high res file for you. If you have not purchased a wedding album, your wedding images will be available by flash drive upon request once you have reviewed your online gallery.Watch Video
A lustre finish has a slightly textured matte finish which helps hide fingerprints. Most portraits and wedding photos are printed on a lustre finish. A metallic finish is high gloss and is printed on metallic paper. The metallic paper gives colors deeper color saturation, makes light colors brighter and has a metallic sheen to the whole print. It’s intended for artistic images as opposed to the traditional family portrait types of poses.Watch Video
Our wedding albums feature lay flat slides. This means that an image that crosses the crease will still be seen in its entirety without image disappearing into the crease.Watch Video
An album side is like a page in a book. If you were to hold up one page of a book, you would be holding two sides, the front and back side. The same concept applies to your wedding album. For this reason, sides must be thought of as two sides at a time and can not be created individually
Two sides of an album equate a spread. Some designs will be appear on one side at a time, while other designs will span across the spread. Because the albums we create are flush mounted, the pages open flat so the crease is barely visible.
Your album will feature a single side as both the first and last page. After the first side, each layout is actually two sides. If you elect to add or remove sides from your album, you must do it two at a time.Watch Video
