Our Love Story
Alyssa and Brendan’s love story was featured by The Knot’s How They Asked. Alyssa and Brendan met all the way back in 2004 when the two were in kindergarten.
Alyssa got home from work one Friday afternoon, and she started getting ready to head to Brendan’s house. Her mom and sister were harassing her about what outfit she had on, and how her hair/makeup looked. She originally had on a flannel and leggings, but they told her to change. When Alyssa stated that she was just going to Brendan’s and worship practice and didn’t need to change, they told her the flannel didn’t look good. She finally changed into something a little better, and then fixed her hair and makeup. When Alyssa got to Brendan’s they ate dinner and went to practice. Alyssa thought it was going to be just an average practice.
Once practice was over, Brendan expressed that his brother forgot something in a back room at the church, and he had to grab it for him. Brendan asked Alyssa if she would go with him, so she did. As they were walking down the hallway, Brendan grabbed Alyssa’s hand and told her that he loved her. When they got to the room, he slowly opened the door. It was so dark. Then Alyssa saw little bags lit up on a decorated table saying, “Will you marry me?” She was speechless. She couldn’t say anything, she stood there in shock with tears rolling down her face. Brendan got down on one knee, with the ring in his hand saying, “Alyssa, will you marry me?” She responded by nodding her head up and down, then saying yes. Brendan put the ring on her finger, and then they walked closer to the table, so Alyssa could see everything. Brendan had planned every detail out. He made sure her friends and family were there, and he even decided what font to use on the bags too. Alyssa loves ceramic pottery with words on it made by Rae Dunn, so he used the same font that Rae Dunn uses for all her items. He also got her over one hundred mini roses. After all the commotion died down, they went to celebrate. Their family and close friends went to dessert. It was the perfect night. Alyssa had no idea that on February 15th 2019, her life would be changed forever.

Our Wedding Vision
When my mom, Brendan and I started planning the wedding our vision was classy, elegant and fun. Each table had a cake as part of the centerpiece, but it was also utilized for dessert. The table was also decorated with candles, flowers, and gems to get the perfect look. At our head table, we had a huge hexagon back drop that my built for us. We also had a selfie station with lots of props and a paper flower wall backdrop. The entire place was decorated so nicely, and our vision came alive that night.
Our Wedding Photography
Our wedding photographer was Mark. He had a great sense of humor and was so fun to be around. I would definitely recommend him to all our family and friends. Photos are very important to us, and he did a fantastic job. He pays very close attention to details. If you aren’t standing up straight, he’ll tell you. If you aren’t centered with the background he will fix it, which is something we liked. He didn’t make us feel rushed, and he made hours of photos feel so fun! We will definitely be sharing all the photos through social media and showing them in person to our friends and family.
Our Wedding Live Stream
Our ceremony was live-streamed. All our guest loved it! It was such a perfect day, and Daniel did a great job making sure everything was working/connected properly, so our viewers at home could enjoy the ceremony! We really wanted a video of our ceremony, so guest who were not able to attend the wedding could watch it still and feel like they were apart of our day. Daniel live streamed the wedding, and he did such a great job!
Our Wedding Memories
One of our favorite moments of the day, was sitting back watching the amount of people who came to our wedding. We felt so loved the entire night.
