Michigan Epic Awards Winner
Last night, was a big night for folks who work in the wedding industry! We celebrated the 2018 Michigan Epic Awards – a night of fun and celebration all centered on recognizing the great things that are going on in the wedding community.
Team members from Mike Staff Productions are proud to be a part the group NACE, the National Association of Catering Executives, that helps to put on the event and give awards to their members. While our company has been lucky enough to be nominated in years past, this award ceremony was extra special as The Vice President of Sales & Director of Entertainment for Mike Staff Productions, Kurt Colone was nominated for the prestigious Michael Havens Lifetime Achievement Award.

It’s not an easy feat to win this award. First of all, you have to be nominated by your peers, in this case, fellow members of NACE, and meet this criteria:
- Shows commitment and dedication to NACE throughout membership
- Leadership roles held within organization
- Provides Mentorship within organization
In other words, the recipient of the award needs to be a leader, a mentor and show a dedication to NACE that goes above and beyond that of other members.
2013 Epic Awards Emcee
Mike Staff Productions was honored to emcee the Epic Awards dinner for the Michigan Chapters of the American Bridal Consultants, International Society of Event Specialists and National Association of Catering Executives held Wednesday at The Henry Ford. This event recognized companies and organizations for their contributions to weddings and special events.
We are proud to share that we were part of the team that received an award for Best Team Event for the Glitz and Glamour wedding of NFL star Lamarr Woodley.
A big congratulations goes to our own Director of Sales and Entertainment, Kurt Colone, for receiving the prestigious award of Event Professional of the Year. This award recognizes the member of A.B.C., I.S.E.S. or N.A.C.E. who exemplifies true leadership in the industry.
