Need to plan an outdoor wedding? These local venues can help.
As if planning a wedding isn’t stressful enough already, let’s add a pandemic. Thousands of Michigan couples are facing the effects of COVID-19 on their wedding. Since the pandemic hit in March, non-essential businesses were forced to close, just as the 2020 wedding seasons was set to begin.
As restrictions are eased, weddings are still in question. The size of gatherings are still being heavily restricted. In most of Michigan, indoor events can only host a maximum of 10 people, while outdoor events can host up to 100 people. For both indoor and outdoor events, social distancing must be enforced, and all guests should be wearing facial coverings.
While the ease on restrictions is encouraging for couples planning late-summer and fall weddings, there is still so much uncertainty. If you are still planning a wedding for this time, an outdoor wedding is a great option. There are various Metro Detroit venues known for their beautiful landscape and outdoor accommodations, and there are a handful of venues now providing tents as a way to accommodate weddings during this time, while following executive orders.
