Wedding Grand Entrance Songs
*Playlist updated for 2023-2024 wedding season
Choosing a grand entrance song for your wedding can set the tone for the entire evening. This is the moment when the newlyweds make their debut as a married couple and the guests get their first glimpse of the happy couple. So, how do you choose the perfect grand entrance song?
- First, consider the mood you want to set. Do you want to keep it traditional with a classic song or go with something more upbeat and contemporary? The choice is yours, but make sure it reflects your personality and style as a couple.
- Next, think about the lyrics. You don’t want to choose a song with lyrics that are inappropriate or don’t reflect the mood of the moment. Make sure the lyrics are appropriate for the occasion and that they resonate with you as a couple.
- Consider the tempo of the song as well. If you want to create an upbeat and energetic atmosphere, choose a song with a fast tempo. Alternatively, if you want to create a more romantic and intimate atmosphere, go for a slower tempo.
- Lastly, practice your entrance with the song beforehand. Make sure you time it right so that you enter at the right moment in the song – you’ll work this out with your professional wedding DJ. This will ensure that you make the most of your grand entrance and create a memorable moment for both you and your guests.

The Bridal Party Grand Entrance
Keep in mind, technically, there are two wedding grand entrances — you and your spouse AND your bridal party — the songs below will work for either moment. During your bridal party introduction song, why not choose a song that reminds them of some good times you’ve shared? You could even ask your bridal party a few questions to help narrow down some choices:
- Who are some of their favorite artists?
- What hobbies do they enjoy? (You probably know the answer to that one!)
- Do they want to use props? (Can’t go wrong with shades!)
- County? Hip Hop? Heavy metal fans?
PRO TIP: It’s recommended to have ONE song for the entire bridal party to come out to than a different song for each couple. Why? A couple coming out to their own song does not leave a lot of time for the song to develop and get the crowd into it, plus it just takes longer.
