Our Love Story
Austin and I met right after high school. We started off as best friends but officially started dating in 2016. We dated for 6 years before Austin proposed. He had tried to propose 2 times previously with a surprise trip to Disney World but due to Covid the trips kept getting cancelled.
Eventually he decided on a romantic gesture on the beach here in Michigan to propose. Unfortunately, I then broke my leg and he had to change his plan for a third time. However, he said he couldn’t wait anymore and proposed up north despite me still being on crutches.
Our Wedding Vision
When we started planning, I wanted a small intimate wedding but Austin wanted a bigger wedding that all our friends and family could enjoy. After looking at potential venues, we quickly fell in love with Cherry Creek Golf Club. We loved how bright and airy it looked and the conservatory. It inspired us to have a wedding with lots of neutral colors with gold accents. That way the beauty of the venue, its architecture and landscaping could shine.
Our Wedding DJ
Our professional wedding DJ, Brad was amazing! He was great at communicating what was going on and what would be next. He was able to match the vibes of our reception perfectly and make sure all guest were having a great time! We received many compliments from guest on how amazing Brad was from the ceremony till the end of the night.
Our first dance song was “My Person” by Spencer Crandall. We also did a last dance outside at our ceremony location and for this we choose “Perfect for Me” by Bradley Marshall.
Our Wedding Photos
Both of our weddings photographers were absolutely amazing and did a great job capturing our perfect day! Greg was our primary photographer who we worked with during the planning process and he was great to work with. He added so many great ideas that made our wedding unique and extra special. Dominick was equally amazing. Greg and Dominick worked in perfect harmony and had great energy from start to finish.
Our Wedding Video
We really wanted a wedding video so we could relive the day whenever we wanted. It was one of the most important things for us. Our videographer, Jake was amazing from start to finish. He made sure to capture all the great moments from the day. He had an amazing personality which made everyone feel comfortable.
Our Wedding Planning Advice
Just go with the flow! The important thing is that you get to spend the rest of your life with your one and only. Chances are you or your guests won’t realize any small mishaps on the day so it’s not worth stressing over.
Our Favorite Memories
Our favorite moment of the day was definitely the first look. We were hesitant to do a first look but took the advice of our photographer Greg. It was so special getting to spend time together before all the craziness began and made us feel more at ease for the ceremony itself.
