Our Love Story
We were meeting my family in downtown Detroit for dinner and a Red Wings game. Just as we arrived downtown, it started snowing. We were walking to the restaurant we were meeting everyone and as we were in the middle of Campus Martius with the snow coming down, he stopped and pulled out the ring and proposed with both of our families able to watch off in the distance.
Our Wedding Vision
We both wanted to have our wedding in Detroit and if possible, find a venue in the heart of the city that featured views of the city. Fortunately our venue at Atheneum Suite Hotel was able to provide exactly what we were looking for. We did have to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 however we were lucky enough to still have our wedding as we had originally planned.
Our Wedding Photography
We had a great experience with Mike Staff Productions for our professional wedding photography. The week of our wedding, our original photographer was no longer available due to Covid reasons. Amy stepped up with only a few days before to prepare and did a great job for us. We really appreciated the fact that there was a back up plan in place. Our photos are beautiful and she did an excellent job capturing the important moments of the day for us.
Our Wedding DJ
Our first dance was to My Best Friend by Tim McGraw. We picked this song because it’s a classic country song and we felt the song described how we feel about each other.
Our Wedding Video
Knowing the day would fly by, we thought having a professional wedding video would be a great way for us to look back and remember the beautiful day. The wedding video received was exactly what we were looking for and will be watching it for years to come to remember our special day.
We have been so glad to be able to share our pictures and video with those who were at the wedding and those who were not. The photos and video both do such a great job of allowing us to relive the moments captured.

Our favorite moment was the ceremony which was beautiful from start to finish. We also had a blast with our family and friends dancing the night away!
