Our Love Story
Trevor and I have known each for 11 years. We dated our senior year of high school. We went our separate ways when we went to different colleges, but we were always friends! After college, we both were back home in Northville, MI. I asked him to be my wedding date (at the same place we ended up getting married!). We reconnected and dated four years before he proposed in April 2021.
Our Wedding Vision
I had an obsession with the color black, so I wanted a black and white wedding with touches of greenery. My vision was a modern, minimalist weddings Trevor luckily was on board with it. My mom and brother were a huge help when it came to planning and decorations as well as our florist Kaila! The Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth, MI ended up being the perfect wedding venue for my vision.
I truly do not have a favorite moment. The entire day was a dream. From the speeches to dancing to my dad and I having a karaoke moment, every moment was special. Everyone we loved was in the same room celebrating us. It was amazing!
Our Wedding DJ
Our professional wedding DJ, Brad, was AMAZING. He played all the songs we wanted and got the vibe of the room. From dinner music to dancing music, he knew what the crowd would want and he truly delivered!
Trevor and I chose a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” for our first dance song. We both love all sorts of music, so picking a song was hard. One say, we sat down to talk about what we should pick and after some thought, Trevor suggested “Nothing Else Matters”. I agreed that it is perfect!
Our Wedding Photography
Our professional wedding photographer, Mary, was just perfect. We talked before the day to see what type of pictures we wanted and how she would make our vision happen. She captured what was important and I am loving the proofs!
