Our Love Story
Luke and I met through mutual friends. One of his best friends married my cousin and they introduced us. We went on a double date. I wasn’t expecting anything but we hit it off right off the bat and the rest was history. Luke proposed in Traverse City. We were there for the weekend doing some wine tasting. He pulled off on one of the scenic outlooks and wanted to take a picture (which I thought was strange because it was cold and rainy)! I turned around and he was on one knee. It was just the two of us, very intimate and special. When we got back to the hotel he had my family and close friends there to surprise me!
Our Wedding Vision
I (we) both come from large families. I always envisioned a large wedding with all of our family members and those we care about celebrating with us.
Our Wedding DJ
Both of our families are big dancers. DJ Bob made sure he played all of the classics such a Celebration, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, The Hustle which got everyone out on the dance floor. Our wedding DJ kept the dance floor packed the whole night, which is exactly what we wanted on our special day! All of our guests had a blast dancing and the dance floor was never empty!
Our Wedding Photography
We had two wedding photographers, John and Corey. I can’t say enough good things about them. They were basically part of the family by the end of the night. We had an absolute blast while staying right on schedule. It helped that they had shot at the Inn at St. John’s a million times, they both knew all the perfect shots to get. We absolutely love and cherish our wedding pictures.
Our Wedding Videography
Everyone says how fast the day will fly by. We wanted to be sure we were able to relive each moment. As a bride, you don’t get to see every aspect of the day such as your girls/flower girls/ring bearers walk down the aisle or all of the guys getting ready for the day. As a groom you don’t get to see all of the preparation that goes into the day. We are not disappointed. Watching our wedding video footage allows us to relive our special day forever and allows us both to see details that we were not able to on the big day.
Our Wedding Memories
My favorite moment was when the doors to the church opened and I saw Luke at the end of the aisle and a church full of our loved ones.
