Sarah & Spenser’s Wedding at The Pine Knob Mansion

Our Real Wedding at The Pine Knob Mansion: May 20, 2023

“Mike Staff Productions is simply amazing. Going into wedding planning thinking about all the stress of wedding day is daunting. Mike Staff eliminates all of that. The process of hiring the professionals was awesome and it really felt like THEY were being interviewed for the job and really wanted to be part of our special day. After that, the fact they were familiar with our venue made things super easy. They worked together flawlessly and we didn’t have to worry even the slightest bit. They knew exactly what to do at exactly the right time throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Having that stress eliminated from the wedding day was a huge relief and cannot be more appreciated. Mike Staff knows what they are doing and would recommend them all day long to any couple that is looking for a flawless, professional, smooth experience on their wedding day!”

Our Love Story

My husband and I had known each other for 16 years (14 of those together). After all that time (and questions from friends and family of when will it ever happen) he knew he had to do something special. He took me to the beautiful castle in Charlevoix under the guise of it being a seminar for his job. I walked into the courtyard thinking I was there to meet his work friends and then attend a seminar, but instead there was roses on a bench in front of the waterway. “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast began to play as he began his amazing speech (complete with Disney references) and dropped to one knee. After I said yes, my parents and his came from hiding in the gardens (he made sure to include my parents!) and we all shared champagne and celebrated as we toured the castle and the grounds. It was great.

Our Wedding DJ

Our professional wedding DJ did an amazing job keeping the pace of the reception. His music choices were amazing and he read the room perfectly. He even helped my groom and his friends put together an impromptu WWE style wrestling skit on the fly. He did a great job creating energy and keeping the celebration going. Our first dance was to “From the ground up” by Dan and Shay. We chose that song because we felt the lyrics really touched on how we built our relationship to last and exemplifies our goals moving forward on our journey through life.

Our Wedding Photography

Our wedding photos are extremely important to us as those are snapshot memories that we will look upon fondly forever. Danielle did an AMAZING job with our photos. She coordinated poses, kept us on track with our evening, had wonderful ideas for romantic pictures and maneuvered around to get great shots without being noticed. She even gave up her cardigan for my groom to sit on for a few photos (he was in an all white tux). Danielle did such a great job keeping everyone and everything in line with our timeline. We could not have been happier with her professionalism and the joy she brought to our wedding.

Our Favorite Wedding Moments

Walking down the aisle, seeing my handsome groom for the first time, and our first dance were some of my favorite moments. Our wedding vision was to achieve an elegant, classy, and fairytale feeling.
