Our Love Story
The beginning of our love story stared on bumble with a love of downtown Detroit and especially the Tigers. We went downtown with my sister and brother in law for dinner and drinks and Mike proposed on the top of the Monarch Club with Comerica Park in the background. He then surprised me with all of our friends and family at the Tigers game after. It was perfect to have all our loved ones there in a place that we loved from the beginning.Our Wedding Vision
Our plan was to have a timeless wedding that was laidback and fun. We wanted our dance floor full all night and just everybody enjoying themselves. Nothing too fancy but enough that it was an elegant wedding full of family and friends.Our Favorite Wedding Memories
One of our favorite moments was being in the middle of the dance floor with all of our favorite people surrounding us and having just as much fun as us. And our other favorite moment was just walking around our wedding photography locations together, at times just us and realizing we did it. This was our day, the day we planned for for a year and it was perfect.Wedding DJ Experience
Our wedding DJ, Shawn, was able to capture the entire vibe we were going for. Timeless, fun and classic hits all night that kept the floor full which was our main goal. Our first dance song was “You” by Dan + Shay. The next day after our engagement, we saw them in concert and when they sang it live, Mike said he already picked this for our first dance. It meant more than he already thought of it plus seeing them live the next day.Wedding Photography Experience
Our Detroit wedding photographer, Nick, was awesome! He was chill and fun yet professional and detail oriented. We are not in front of the camera people and he made us comfortable and gave us pictures that we can’t even pick our favorite. They are keepsakes that will last a lifetime and we love every single one.Wedding Videography Experience
The wedding video gave us what we didn’t see that day. We were so invested in the day but didn’t get to stop and see the small stuff and the video perfectly did that. We felt like we could relieve every moment and truly sit back and enjoy the day. David was so personable and great to work with and knew what we wanted without even telling him.Wedding Planning Advice
I would recommend starting early and spacing things out. You plan for a year for one day so enjoy the ride. Enjoy the planning, don’t stress about the small stuff and know that you and your fiancé are the main focus. Try to keep the drama out and have fun!Hilary & Mike’s Wedding Vendors
