Jenna & Brad’s Wedding at Frutig Farms

Our Real Detroit Wedding: June 23, 2018

“We were very happy with our Mike Staff Experience! We were so pleasantly surprised at the timeliness of our video completion and definitely shed a few tears and shared a few laughs watching them!” – Happy Bride, Jenna

Our Love Story

“Brad proposed soon after moving home from Montana where he worked for over 2 years. We had been together for a couple of years before he moved, but spending that time apart was a true testament of our love, communication, and trust. He popped the question at his family farm, a place we’d already made so many wonderful memories together, on 2/4/2017. He had the whole thing planned…flowers by the frozen lake, his sister hidden in the woods to take photos, and our family and friends waiting back at the cabin to celebrate with us. I was completely caught off guard and so grateful that he put so much thought into such a memorable day.”

Our Wedding Vision

“We are very laid-back people and we wanted our wedding to reflect that. We love the outdoors, all things are rustic, and all things vintage so a barn wedding was a no-brainer for us! We fell in love with our venue when we could envision our guests mingling and wandering in and out of the barns to play games, hanging out at the bar, and enjoying the sunshine! We wanted to accentuate the beauty of the barns with simple decor including tons of fresh greenery and a soft color palette. We were truly in love with how it all came together!”

Our Wedding Video

“We tossed around the idea of a wedding video and concluded that if we could have a professional video of our parents and grandparents’ wedding days, that would be priceless. Of course, we had a budget we were trying to stick to, but video evokes a different type of emotion than still pictures do, and we wanted to have that forever memory for us and our families to enjoy!”

“We love the way the words from Father Jerry, my dad, and our best man/maid of honor were layered over footage so perfectly. Everything was so fitting and flowed so beautifully. We also LOVED that our full-length video had some funny moments in it! We had so much fun laughing at all the silly faces and crazy antics! Our Detroit wedding videographer, Will, was so fun and did a great job both flying under the radar and making us all feel so comfortable at the same time!”

Our Favorite Wedding Memories

“The moments that stood out the most to us included the personal homily given during our ceremony by my (Jenna’s) long-time childhood priest. He’s been present for so many monumental moments in my life and it meant the world to us for him to travel so that he could be the celebrant at our wedding. Brad and I also LOVED our cocktail hour. We had so much fun mingling with our friends and family inside and outside, watching people play yard games, and really taking that time to soak up as much of the moment as possible.

The other thing that stood out to us the most was the amazing speeches that our fathers, best man, and maid of honor gave. We were truly touched and humbled by the amount of thought, time, and effort that went into them and they are a piece of our day that we’ll remember forever (literally, thanks to our video!).”
