Our Love Story
Our love story began October 8th. We met in line at Qdoba. Kacy was in a hurry to make it to her Student Teaching class and Zack just got out of baseball practice, was grabbing some food and then heading to class himself at Madonna University. It never fails that when you are running late, the line suddenly is moving very slowly. Luckily, Zack made a joke about it and Kacy started laughing. The two ended up talking about Madonna Baseball and their love of sports!
- Dating Anniversary: Kacy and Zack make it “Facebook Official” on April 27th, 2015.
- I Love You: Kacy and Zack say “I Love You” for the first time on May 22nd, 2015.
- Engagement: Zack gets down on one knee on Cinco De Mayo and asks Kacy to Marry Him on May 5th, 2018. The two celebrated with the greatest family and friends on the planet that day!
Our Wedding Vision
Our wedding vision was for it to represent Zack, myself, our life together, and our families. We chose to represent that vision by getting married outdoors at a park the bride grew up playing at in Plymouth. We wanted to make sure we stayed traditional without seeing each other beforehand. We wanted to make it memorable for all by writing our own vows. We wanted it to be the time of our lives for ourselves, our family, and our friends. We wanted to show our love of sports by having a sports theme as our centerpiece. We are ecstatic to report that it turned out even better than we dreamed!
Our Wedding Video
Getting a wedding video was important to us because we wanted to be able to relive our wedding day over again throughout our lives and to be able to see moments we may have missed during the wedding day since it is all such a whirlwind.
We love our video! It captured both of us getting ready, it captured our family moments, it captured our ceremony from start to finish which included our handwritten vows to each other, it captured our wedding party pictures and poses, it captured my dad’s speech as the Father of the Bride, and our Bridal Party Speeches, it captured our first dances, and every other little thing in between! We love that our video has allowed us to relive that day and remember how perfect it was.
Our Wedding DJ
It is impossible to list one song that our wedding DJ played that had everyone on the dance floor because our dance floor was packed the entire night. We have had so many guests tell us that they have never danced so much at a wedding before. Our professional wedding DJ made our night memorable because he played so many great songs that kept everyone, not just Zack and I happy. We cannot say “thank you” enough Josh!
Our Wedding Memories
We both agree that our favorite moment was seeing each other the very first time walking down the aisle.
Our tied second favorite memory was immediately after the ceremony getting on the party bus to officially celebrate with all of our family and our wedding party and dancing the night away on the dance floor.
