From the first step into the Mike Staff Productions office to discuss our vision for our wedding day and watching video profiles of the amazing Mike Staff team members, to the provision of our photos and videos in a timely manner, Mike Staff Productions blew us away.
Our photographer, videography team, and DJ provided family-like service that made us feel valued, rather than like customers. We truly built a relationship with them over the course of a few weeks, and wouldn’t rather have anyone else a part of our day. I really hadn’t realized, until they truly showed us, how important it is to have a great relationship with your photographer, videographer, and DJ. Their incredible service shaped our wedding day, and provided us with laughter and memories that we, and our loved ones, will treasure forever.
Bundling all 3 services began as a way to simplify a busy season of planning our wedding while both my husband and I were graduating college, beginning careers, and commissioning as officers in the military. That decision ended as a way that we saved money, saved hours of time stressing over booking services from different companies, and gave us peace-of-mind knowing that our vendors were a team of highly-trained professionals who are well-trusted, and well-worth any cost. – Happy Bride, Olivia Reynolds
Our Love Story
Trent proposed in the most romantic way, incorporating some of our closest friends, and our college campus. After a day spent shopping, I was lead all across our University of Michigan campus by two sweet friends, and one-by-one we picked up some of the most important people in mine and Trent’s life who each greeted me with a rose and a clue, leading me to the next friend in a place where Trent and I had made memories throughout our time on campus. After this adventure, my heart was so full I thought it would burst, but the night was far from over. I finally reached a fountain where I found even more friends with roses, and the love of my life standing there with a small box in his hand. With my hands full of roses, my heart full of joy, and my eyes full of tears, surrounded by many who love us, he asked me to marry him.
Our Mike Staff Productions DJ
Our dance floor was filled throughout the entire evening because of our experienced
wedding DJ. From fast songs to slow dances, DJ Joe had everyone on their feet, smiling and busting a move. We appreciated how Joe so carefully crafted the evening so that everyone found a song they connected to, and our wishes were respected greatly.
The song we chose for our first dance was “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle, and we chose it for the lyrics, which highlight the journey that our love had been, and surely will be, and how it’s such a privilege to love one another. We love the lines in the beginning “One look at you, my whole life falls in line. I prayed for you, before I called you mine,” and “I can’t believe it’s true, I get to love you.” As the song concludes, it encourages us to dwell in the sweet, newlywed bliss and says “They say love is a journey, I promise that I’ll never leave. When it’s too heavy to carry, remember this moment with me.” and these lyrics just echoed the feelings that Trent and I had about our future marriage. We took ballroom dance lessons, out of fear of making a fool out of ourselves during our first dance, and it ended up being such an amazing journey of learning together and spending time together that we will treasure forever.
Our Wedding Video
Trent and I decided that we would put a great portion of our budget into the wedding photography and
wedding videography for our wedding because after the cake is cut, the bouquets are tossed, the dancing shoes are kicked off, and the dress and tuxedo are hung in the closet, the photos and videos of the laughter, dancing, hugs, and smiles remain. They, along with my handsome spouse and gorgeous wedding ring, are with me forever, to giggle at and tear up over at every anniversary, and to watch with my grandfather who was unable to attend due to his health. They will be shared with Trent’s grandfather with Alzheimer’s Disease every time he needs a reminder of the amazing family that he has by his side, and with our future children, to show how the love that brought them into the world began, with a covenant of God, and the love of friends and family.
Our Wedding Photography
This one is sort of answered in the previous response, but more specifically about the
wedding photography, my entire bridal party has raved over the absolute joy it was to work with Mark. I cannot speak highly enough of his care and talent. He took time to understand our vision for the day, the moments that we wanted to capture, and the people that meant a lot to us and took special care to ensure that our day would be remembered perfectly.
Our Wedding Memories
One of my favorite moments of the day was praying with Trent right before our ceremony. We stood on either side of a door, surrounded by our parents and our bridal party, and centered our hearts on the One who created and enabled the joy and love that we’ve experienced in one another.
Another one of our favorite moments was stepping out of the reception to capture a few photos in the courtyard as the sunset. We took that time to look across the ballroom and observe the laughter and conversation throughout the room and stood in awe of how amazing the day had been. Then Trent and I shared some laughter and embraces as we posed for a few more photos under the moonlight. Some of our sweetest moments were captured outside in that time.
