Our Love Story
We met through a mutual friend while at school at University of Michigan our sophomore year 2015. We originally met for homework but it turned into much more.
Proposal: We were in Chicago, New Year’s Eve 2018, with our friend, Liz, and spending the evening at Lincoln Park Zoo for the zoo lights. After exploring, and freezing, we went to the carousel for a ride before midnight. After, we found a spot for the countdown. As the countdown started Sean pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. After a very happy yes, it was sealed with a kiss at midnight.
Our Wedding Vision
A romantic, fairy tale garden with purple, coral and pink. A theme to take advantage of Meadow Brook’s beautiful vintage architecture and style. We originally planned our wedding to be May 31st 2020, but due to COVID we thought it was best to postpone to August 9th. Thankfully, most of our plans remained unchanged. The date turned out to be very beautiful in the garden with all the fresh blooms.
Our Wedding Photography
Mary was wonderful to work with. She was very natural and committed to getting genuine smiles. She was mindful of capturing great moments, at sunset she came to get us to take advantage of the lighting
Our Wedding DJ
We chose Amazed by Lonestar for our first dance. The melody was perfect to dance too. The lyrics were so heartfelt and romantic. It created a wonderful atmosphere for our first dance.
Our Wedding Memories
Seeing each other for the first time that day at the aisle. The garden setting was gorgeous and we were overwhelmed by how great we thought each other looked and felt so much love.
When we cut the cake, we found it very difficult to cut. Then when we tried to serve it, we flipped it onto the table. It turns out they had chilled it to keep the buttercream from melting, they may have done too good of job with the chilling but it was a funny moment.
